54-year-old Man Electrocuted While Fishing

On September 8, a tragic incident occurred in the Vayots Dzor region. At around 15:50, the National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs received a call from the emergency medical team of the "Yeghegnadzor" medical center, reporting that they had been dispatched to a location along the road from Yeghegnadzor to the village of Shatin, where a body had been discovered in the water.

According to shamshyan.com, a 54-year-old resident of Vayots Dzor, Suren H., had entered a nearby stream to catch fish using an electrofishing method and was electrocuted, dying on the spot.

Police and investigators found electric wires and fishing nets in the vicinity of the incident. A criminal case has been initiated by the Vayots Dzor regional investigation department. A forensic examination of the body has been ordered by the investigator.
