Helicopter Crashes in Vologda Region Hours Ago

A helicopter crash near Lake Vozhe in the Vologda region has resulted in one person missing and two others injured, according to the Investigative Committee of Russia.

The Robinson helicopter crashed on Sunday near Lake Vozhe. There were three people on board.

"As a result of the incident, two citizens sustained varying degrees of bodily injuries and are receiving medical assistance, while another person is currently considered missing," the statement read.

Investigators believe that one of the causes of the incident may be the "helicopter descending low over the water." Investigators are currently working at the scene.
