Ruben Vardanyan, a public-political figure and coordinator of the public movement ‘Front for the Security and Development of Artsakh’, responded to the statement of the Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, who claimed that most of the forces participating in the Yerevan City Council elections are ‘puppets’ serving foreign powers.

“You are unable to represent our country correctly either abroad or domestically. Your behavior, spitting on people, and making Mount Ararat non-Armenian will lead you to defeat, not foreign powers. Those political figures who make thoughtless statements harm Armenia and Artsakh. Andranik Kocharyan talks about pressures and some dark forces, Alen Simonyan about ‘puppets’; they do not understand that these statements merely reflect their own level and mindset, and how they view the world,” he stated.

The former Prime Minister of Artsakh expressed candidly that he can look everyone in the eye and say that he has done everything for his homeland.
