Public Criminal Prosecution Initiated Against Woman for Violence Against Minor
The prosecutor has initiated a public criminal prosecution against A.A. under the provisions of Articles 196 (part 2, points 3, 4, and 6) of the Criminal Code (causing severe physical pain or severe mental suffering to a minor with particular cruelty), Article 198 (part 3, points 1 and 2) (committing violent sexual acts against a person under the age of 12 to 14 by an ascendant or by someone entrusted with the upbringing, care, or health of the child), Article 239 (part 2, points 1 and 2) (using information or communication technologies to induce or involve the child in preparing or distributing pornographic materials or objects), and Article 300 (part 3, points 1 and 2) (creating, distributing, or storing pornographic materials or objects with cruelty towards the minor by a close relative).
This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Armenia.
“According to the criminal proceedings, it has been established that A.A. created and distributed child pornography with the participation of her 12-year-old daughter, aiming to satisfy the sexual needs of others through communication technologies while displaying cruel behavior towards her minor daughter. During the creation of the child pornography, she inflicted severe physical pain on her minor daughter and committed sexual acts on her, while also involving her two daughters under the age of 12 in the preparation of pornographic materials,” the statement reads.
Notice: A person accused of a crime is considered innocent until proven guilty by a court ruling that has entered into legal force in accordance with the criminal procedure code.
