Mercedes-Benz Completely Disconnects Russian Dealers from Software
The German automotive giant Mercedes-Benz has completely disconnected its Russian dealers from software, as announced by representatives of the company to Izvestia.
The 'Russian Auto Dealers' Association has confirmed the existence of problems regarding software accessibility. Reports indicate that other brands have also been affected. Meanwhile, sources within the editorial team noted that restrictions have also been imposed by the BMW group.
Experts say that the lack of official software could increase the time required for repairs and services, as well as create issues regarding updates for new vehicles. It has been noted that despite the existence of ways to bypass these restrictions, drivers are likely to start using unofficial service stations more frequently and purchasing simpler car models.
