Death Toll from Earthquakes in Turkey Approaches 48,000

The number of victims from the earthquakes in southeastern Turkey has reached 47,975. This information was provided by Yunus Sezer, head of the Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD), during a press briefing.

It is noteworthy that on February 6 at 05:17, an earthquake occurred in the Kahramanmaraş province of Turkey, leading to devastation in several cities. Additionally, two strong aftershocks were recorded at 14:24 and 14:36 Yerevan time. The magnitude of the underground tremors in the epicentral zone was estimated to be between 10 and 11 on the Richter scale.
