Bus Carrying Students Falls 5 Meters in Syunik, Multiple Injured

A major traffic accident occurred in the Syunik region moments ago, as reported by shamshyan.com.

"On the Arrajazor highway, within the administrative territory of the village of Arrajazor, a bus transporting students exited the roadway under currently unknown circumstances and fell upside down into a river from a height of about 5 meters," the website stated.

As a result of the accident, there are numerous injuries, including 9 teachers from the school, 2 cleaning staff, and students. The exact number of students is still being determined.

According to the website, over 15 injured individuals have been rescued and brought via stretcher to the ambulances.

The Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that on March 10 at 14:21, the Syunik regional crisis management center received an alert about a traffic accident on the Kapan-Norashenik road, stating that a bus had overturned into a ravine. An operational group from the regional rescue service and a firefighting squad were dispatched to the scene.
