Car Collides with Train: Casualties Reported

This morning at 03:35, the Ararat Regional Crisis Management Center received information about an accident in the village of Vostan where a car collided with a train, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs Rescue Service.

A firefighting-rescue team from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene.

It was revealed that on the Artashat-Vostan highway, at the railway crossing that passes through Artashat, a 'Toyota Prado' car (driver: G. S., born in 1987) collided with a freight train.

Before the rescue team arrived, driver G. S. and passenger R. V. T. (born 1977, citizen of the Republic of Georgia) were hospitalized at the 'Artashat' medical center, where doctors assessed R. V. T.'s condition as serious, while G. S. refused medical assistance.
