Large Fire in Yerevan: Rescuers Discover Body in Bedroom
On February 13, at 23:11, the National Crisis Management Center received a call reporting a fire in one of the buildings on 3rd lane of Azatamartikneri Street in Yerevan. Four firefighting units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia’s Yerevan Fire and Rescue Department, along with operational teams from the Crisis Management Center and the Department for Organizing Firefighting and Rescue Operations, were dispatched to the scene with a complexity classification of '1 BIS.'
The fire was contained by 00:06 on February 14 and extinguished by 00:43. Rescuers found the body of citizen O. M. (born in 1951) on the floor of the bedroom and evacuated the injured V. M. (born in 1978) from the house, who received appropriate medical assistance on site. Injured individuals A. M. (born in 1946) and A. M. (born in 1981) were hospitalized at 'Erebuni' Medical Center, and subsequently at the National Burn Center, where doctors assessed their condition as critical.
The bedroom of the house, approximately 120 square meters in size, was burned along with its furnishings (around 30 square meters).
