How Many Hours Did the PM Speak During Government Sessions in 2022?
The newspaper "Pasts" reports that a rather remarkable study regarding the statistics of government sessions has been presented on social media recently. According to the newspaper, in 2022, the agenda of government sessions included 2,066 questions, of which only 163 were reported on, accounting for 7.8 percent of the total questions. The remaining 92.2 percent were classified as unreported questions.
Interestingly, the largest number of questions was included in the December agenda, totaling 288, while surprisingly, the least reported questions also took place in December, with just 15 questions or 5 percent of the total.
According to the statistics provided, of the 163 questions reported throughout the year, 59 questions, or 36.2 percent of the total, were reported by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, while the fewest questions—only one each—were reported by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and High Technology.
How the government sessions are utilized can be illustrated by another remarkable figure: the total duration of government sessions in 2022 exceeded 163 hours, with approximately 10 percent of that time allocated to Nikol Pashinyan. According to the study, he spoke for 15 hours, 52 minutes, and 15 seconds. Moreover, it is noted that Pashinyan used the opportunity of government sessions to speak primarily on other topics that had little to no relevance to the questions included in the session's agenda.
