French Journalist Banned from Entering Turkey, Author of 4 Books on the Country

A French journalist has been banned from entering Turkey, according to a post he made. He stated:  “I wanted to prepare a report and go to the earthquake-affected areas, but my report was cut short. The police at Istanbul Airport said I was prohibited from entering Turkey and I was deported to Paris…”

The journalist does not mention the reasons for the ban. It has been reported that he is the author of four books about Turkey and several documentary films, and he works for the Le Monde newspaper.
