Azerbaijani Citizens Acquired 2 Properties in Armenia in 2022

Azerbaijani citizens acquired 2 properties in Armenia during 2022. This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre of Armenia in response to a written inquiry from the news outlet.

According to the information received, Azerbaijani citizens purchased 1 apartment in a multi-story building in Yerevan and 1 individual residential house in the Lori province in 2022.

As per the Cadastre Committee, citizens of the Republic of Turkey bought 11 properties in Armenia in 2022, consisting of 11 apartments in multi-story buildings in Yerevan. Citizens of Turkey did not purchase any real estate in the regions.

It is also noted that in the past year, citizens of Azerbaijan and Turkey did not sell any properties in Armenia. The nationality of citizens from these countries is not clarified in the response received from the Cadastre Committee, according to the news agency.

Additionally, earlier data released by the Cadastre Committee indicated that before 2022, Azerbaijani citizens had executed 6 transactions for the state registration of property rights in Armenia, while Turkish citizens had completed 71 transactions. Turkish citizens purchased 54 apartments, received 2 apartments as gifts, and exchanged 1. They also bought 5 residential houses, 1 garage, 8 properties for public use, and 12 land plots.

Thus, Azerbaijani citizens have acquired a total of 8 properties in Armenia, while Turkish citizens have acquired 82 properties.
