17-Year-Old Girl Dies in Gegharkunik Province

A 17-year-old girl has died in the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia. This information was reported by shamshyan.com.

Specifically, on January 2, at around 09:50, a call was received at the Martuni division of the police from the Martuni Medical Center stating that a citizen had been admitted with "acute abdominal cavity organ perforation" (a hole caused in the lining of the gastrointestinal tract, which can occur due to injuries such as knife wounds, ingestion of sharp objects, intestinal blockage, colon cancer, and other diseases).

Investigators discovered that the hospitalized individual was 17-year-old Nazik Kh., a resident from one of the villages in Gegharkunik Province. She died in the surgical department of the hospital.

A criminal case has been initiated by the Martuni investigative department of the Gegharkunik regional investigative office of the RA Investigative Committee on the grounds of murder. An autopsy has been ordered by the investigator.

According to the website, the deceased was a student in the 11th grade at one of the schools in Gegharkunik Province.
