Turkish Drone Strikes Recruitment Center of Kurdish Forces in Syria, Casualties Reported
On January 3, a Turkish Air Force drone struck a building in the city of Al-Qamishli, located 700 kilometers from Damascus, which housed a recruitment center for Kurdish formations of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
According to reports from An Nashra, there are fatalities and injuries among the Kurdish ranks, with the exact numbers still being confirmed. Many individuals are being evacuated to hospitals via ambulances.
Earlier, another military drone targeted positions of Kurdish militants on the outskirts of the administrative center of Hasakah province, resulting in losses for the SDF.
In Al-Kahhtaniya, Turkish drones opened fire on a poultry farm, leading to the death of one woman and injuries to four others.
In Aleppo, Turkish artillery shelled a Syrian military checkpoint in Al-Qami, injuring six soldiers.
Previously, it was reported that police cleared Kurdish protesters from the Bastille Square in Paris. The Kurds had gathered in the capital of France at Republic Square to protest against gunfire they believe is directed at the Kurdish community. Protesters accused Turkey of the shootings and chanted anti-Turkish slogans.
