Death Toll of Russian Soldiers in Makeevka Tragedy Reaches 89, Says Russian Defense Ministry
The Russian Defense Ministry has issued a statement regarding the tragedy that occurred in Makeevka.
"The number of Russian servicemen killed has reached 89, including the deputy commander of the battalion, Lieutenant Colonel Bachurin. Russian troops have destroyed the HIMARS launch site from which Ukrainian forces struck Makeevka," the report states.
Additionally, it has been reported that the main reason for the tragedy in Makeevka was the extensive use of mobile phones by the personnel despite the prohibition of mobile devices. This factor enabled the enemy to locate and determine the coordinates of the military personnel for a missile strike.
"Officials responsible for the tragedy in Makeevka will be held accountable based on the results of the investigation," the Russian Defense Ministry noted.
