Japanese and German Journalists Injured in Ukraine
In the territory of Ukraine controlled by Kyiv, two journalists from Germany and Japan have been injured over the course of several days. This was reported by TASS, citing the organization "Reporters Without Borders."
"On Saturday, December 31, journalist Vataru Sehitani, who works for the Asahi newspaper, suffered shrapnel wounds to his thigh while near his hotel in Kyiv," the NGO stated. Meanwhile, his colleague Norito Konisuen, who was in the hotel at the time, was unharmed.
The second injured party was Bjorn Stritzel, a correspondent for the German newspaper Bild, who sustained minor shrapnel injuries to his face on January 2, following an explosion near his hotel in the city of Druzhkivka, located close to Kramatorsk. This incident was showcased during the French TMS television channel's Quotidien show.
Journalist Paul Gasnien was broadcasting live from Druzhkivka as part of a program featuring France's Minister of Economy Bruno Le Maire. When the correspondent appeared on camera, an explosion occurred in the background.
