Hundreds of Kurds Rally in Paris

Hundreds of Kurds have taken to the streets in Paris to commemorate three representatives of the Kurdish community who were murdered on December 23, as well as three activists who were killed in January 2013, reports RIA Novosti.

The protesters' march began at noon from Dangan Street in the 10th arrondissement of Paris, where a man had previously shot three representatives of the Kurdish community. The participants proceeded through Lafayette Street, where three other Kurdish activists were killed in January 2013.

Organizers have urged demonstrators to maintain order and comply with police requirements. On December 23, a 69-year-old man opened fire near the Kurdish cultural center in the 10th arrondissement of Paris and has since been arrested. The shooting resulted in the deaths of three individuals. According to a representative of the Kurdish community speaking to RIA Novosti, the victims were three Kurdish activists. Paris prosecutors have launched an investigation into the case of premeditated murder.
