Papikyan and Shoigu Meet; Military Cooperation Program Signed

During a working visit to the Russian Federation, Armenian Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan participated in a joint meeting of the defense ministers of the SCO and CIS countries on December 9, where he presented the situation in the region following Azerbaijan's recent military aggression. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

Subsequently, a meeting took place between Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan and Russian Defense Minister, Army General Sergei Shoigu.

During the meeting, several ongoing issues related to regional security, as well as military and military-technical cooperation, were discussed. At the end of the meeting, a military cooperation program for 2023 was signed between the ministries of defense of Armenia and Russia.
