Where Could the Possible Meeting Between Pashinyan and Aliyev Take Place? Secretary of the Security Council Clarifies
Armenia is considering all options for the possible meeting between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. This was stated by Armenia's Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan during a press briefing with journalists at the National Assembly on December 8.
When asked whether the meeting could be organized before the end of the year, Grigoryan noted, "Following the Azerbaijani president's announcement that cancels the Brussels meeting, certain issues have arisen. Armenia continues to consider the possibility of a meeting; it could take place in St. Petersburg, in Brussels, or elsewhere."
It is worth mentioning that Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced weeks ago that the meeting planned for December 7 in Brussels with the Armenian leader would not occur, citing Armenia's insistence on having French President Emmanuel Macron present at the meeting, as in previous instances.
