Baku in a State of Hysteria: What Are They Complaining About This Time

Azerbaijan will not consider the budget draft of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) for the next year following the decision to send an OSCE mission to Armenia unilaterally.

This information is stated in a statement released by the Azerbaijani representation to the OSCE.

Earlier, the OSCE announced that a group of experts would be sent to Armenia from October 21-27 to assess the situation in certain border areas.

The Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that this OSCE experts' mission does not have the organization’s mandate and should be regarded as a private visit.

"Azerbaijan has not opposed the deployment of a European Union civilian mission to Armenian territory as an additional confidence-building measure. What we are seeing now goes beyond the agreements reached in Prague. The OSCE is the collective asset of all 57 participating states. We will express our opposition to the glaring violations and neglect of OSCE documents and decisions and will be against any attempt to undermine the spirit of cooperation that remains within that organization. This unilateral step raises questions about projects supporting the implementation of those objectives, which are presented in the joint budget proposal for 2023," the statement reads.

Baku has noted that as long as the current situation is not corrected and compliance with OSCE documents and decisions is not restored, "the Azerbaijani representation will not consider the budget draft for the next year, including the postal working schedules and the required expenses for resources."
