Taxi Driver Demands 200 Euros from Foreigner to Return Documents
On October 17, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Armenia received a request stating that a citizen of the Republic of Poland left a wallet containing documents in a Mercedes taxi.
The police reported that the citizen called the taxi driver and requested the return of the wallet and documents to be delivered to the Polish embassy; however, the taxi driver refused, demanding 200 euros.
Thanks to joint operational-investigative measures taken by the detectives of the Police's Zvartnots Airport Division and the Special Investigation Service, the identity of the taxi driver was established. The 48-year-old man was located and taken to the Zvartnots Airport Division, and subsequently presented to the investigative body.
