Armenian Man Brutally Attacked in Russia: Hands Cut Off and Shots Fired
In Irkutsk, two men have been detained on charges of torturing and attempting to murder an Armenian citizen. This was reported on October 20 by the regional department of the Russian Investigative Committee, as noted by lenta.ru.
According to the investigation, the organizer of the attack is 35-year-old Miro Miroyan, who, along with his accomplices, seized the victim on September 1 and began to brutally torture him. Initially, the man was beaten, and then his hands were cut off using a machete. Additionally, shots were fired at his legs, but ultimately, the victim managed to survive.
Sources within law enforcement indicated to Lenta.ru that the assailants are also of Armenian descent. The conflict arose over a dispute involving 500,000 rubles and a car.
The perpetrators attempted to flee, but two of them were quickly apprehended by the police and FSB regional department personnel. The court has arrested two suspects, while the organizer of the crime is still being sought. The victim is currently hospitalized. A criminal case has been initiated under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which pertains to attempted murder.
