Citizen Injured in Fire in One of Abovyan's Buildings Suffered Various Degrees of Burns
Today, at 12:52 PM, the National Center for Crisis Management received a report that a fire had broken out on the roof of a building on Rosia Street in the city of Abovyan, Kotayk Province.
Five firefighting teams from the Yerevan Rescue Department and the provincial rescue service, along with one aerial ladder and the operational group of the provincial rescue service, were dispatched to the scene under a level-2 fire alarm.
The fire was contained by 14:18 and extinguished by 14:51. A total of 120 square meters of isogam, wooden structural elements of the roof, and household items were burned.
As a result of the fire, one citizen (S.F., born in 1977) sustained various degrees of burns and was transported to the Abovyan Medical Center, and subsequently to the National Burn Center in Yerevan.
The injured 45-year-old citizen is currently in the intensive care unit of the National Burn Center in Yerevan. The center provided the following update:
“The victim is male. He has burns on his legs, arms, and back. He is now in the intensive care unit. We will provide additional information later,” the center stated.
