VIDEO: Carousel Collapses in Czech Republic, Most of the Injured Are Children

A carousel has collapsed during mass festivities in the town of Havirov, Czech Republic. A total of 17 people were injured, most of whom are children. Authorities reported that the injuries occurred when the ride crashed to the ground but continued to spin.

"They sustained injuries due to hitting the railing. We are investigating what happened," said a representative of the Moravian-Silesian police.

A representative from emergency services added that five emergency medical teams were dispatched to the scene.
