Earthquake in Spitak and Vanadzor Cities

Today, at 08:04 local time (04:04 GMT), an earthquake was registered by the Seismic Protection Territorial Service of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations at geographical coordinates 40.80° N latitude and 44.32° E longitude, 5 km southeast of Spitak city, at a depth of 10 km, with a magnitude of 3.0.

The intensity of the underground tremor in the epicenter zone was assessed at 4 points. The earthquake was felt in Spitak and Vanadzor cities of Lori Province, as well as in several surrounding communities with a strength of 3 points.
