Suicide in Yerevan: Body of a Man Found Under Kyiv Bridge

Today, on June 18, a suicide occurred in Yerevan. At around 12:30 PM, the Armenian Police's operational management center and the Mashtots police department received reports that a citizen had jumped from the Kyiv Bridge.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, patrol officers from the 3rd squad of the 4th battalion of the patrol service of the Yerevan division quickly arrived at the scene, led by battalion commander Armen Gasparyan and his deputy Armen Avetisyan. The patrol officers cordoned off the area.

An operational group from the Mashtots police department also arrived promptly, led by department head Andranik Shahbazyan and his deputy in operational affairs. A team from the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Yerevan investigative department for Ajapnyak and Davitashen administrative districts also arrived at the scene, headed by division chief Sardarjan.

Police and investigators discovered the body of a man under the bridge, whose identity is currently being established.
