37-Year-Old Man Jumps to His Death from Kiev Bridge in Yerevan

A tragic incident occurred in Yerevan today, June 16. Around 18:20, the police's Mashtots division received a report that an individual had jumped from the Kiev Bridge.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan at the scene, the area has been cordoned off, and patrol officers Vorontsov Balasanyan and Avag Avetyan are on duty to prevent onlookers from parking their vehicles and causing traffic congestion, which they have successfully managed to do. A group of paramedics who arrived promptly verified the man's death.

While investigators were examining the scene, officers from the Mashtots division, led by Chief A. Shahbazyan, identified the deceased as 37-year-old Yuri M., a resident of the Lori province. Investigative materials are being prepared in connection with the incident. At the investigator's direction, a forensic examination of the body has been ordered.
