Major Car Accident in Kotayk Province: Vehicle Collides with Iron Barriers and Rolls Over

On June 18, a major car accident occurred in Kotayk Province. At approximately 3:30 PM, a Ford Transit vehicle, traveling towards Sevan on the Yerevan-Sevan highway at the 48 km mark, collided with iron barriers and rolled over.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, two individuals with bodily injuries were transported to the "Hrazdan" medical center. The doctors at that center acted promptly, providing first aid on site before transferring the injured to the hospital.

Emergency responders from the Hrazdan firefighter-rescue squad arrived quickly on the scene. Additionally, officers from the second platoon of the second company of the Traffic Police were also present, led by platoon commander Arthur Petrosyan and squad commander Sargis Bagratyan.

Investigative work at the scene is coordinated by senior investigator Karlen Bagyan from the same platoon, who is preparing materials regarding the accident. The police are working to identify the driver and the injured parties.
