Another Suspect Involved in the Violence Against the Director of ‘Antares’ Publishing House
Another suspect has been involved in the case of hooliganism associated with the violence against the director of the ‘Antares’ publishing house. This was reported by the Investigative Committee.
As part of the criminal case being investigated by the Yerevan investigative unit of serious crimes of the RA Investigative Committee, the identity of the second individual who committed violence against the director of ‘Antares’ during a gathering in Yerevan on April 27, 2022, has been established. This person is a resident of Yerevan, born in 1972, identified as A.A.
A.A. has been charged under the first part of the third section of Article 258 of the RA Criminal Code, and a measure of restraint has been chosen against him, resulting in his arrest and a hunt has been announced for him.
Earlier, it was reported that during the gathering on April 27, 2022, at approximately 20:40, a group of participants ignored the requests from police officers to exhibit appropriate behavior and maintain public order. Driven by the desire to emphasize their own advantages over others participating in the protest, they violated public order, displaying an open disrespect towards society.
It was also reported that a participant in the aforementioned gathering, A.K., a 42-year-old resident of Yerevan, committed violence against the director of ‘Antares’ using an object as a weapon in the mentioned location. A decision was made to charge A.K. under the fourth part of Article 258 of the RA Criminal Code for committing this publicly dangerous act. He has been detained.
It should be noted that the pre-investigation continues. Measures are being taken to clarify all circumstances of the incident.
