Emergency Incident in Yerevan: Emergency Medical Staff Attacked

An emergency incident occurred in Yerevan recently, according to SHAMSHYAN.com. Once again, emergency medical personnel fulfilling their professional duties were subjected to violence.

According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, the ambulance crew from brigade No. 18 was dispatched to a private residence near the ‘Tashir’ shopping center, where the doctor and driver were attacked by a relative of the patient.

Both the doctor and driver sustained blows from a metal pipe to their heads and backs. They have been taken to the No. 1 University Hospital.

Currently, operational groups from the central police department and the Marash district are investigating the details of the incident, working to establish the identities of the assaulted doctor and driver, and taking necessary operational-search measures to identify and locate the perpetrator.
