Major Car Accident in Yerevan: Injured Include Driver's Wife and Minor Child
A major car accident occurred today, May 6, in Yerevan. Around 08:00, 31-year-old Zaven V. was driving his Chevrolet Volt along Gay Street, near the botanical garden, when he veered off the roadway and crashed into an iron utility pole.
According to photographer Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, the driver and two passengers sustained injuries and were transported to the number 1 university hospital, from where the injured child was transferred to the ‘Holy Mother of God’ medical center.
Quickly responding to the scene were patrol officers from the first squad of the first battalion of the Yerevan patrol service, led by battalion commander Aram Dadoyan and acting squad commander Armen Mkrtchyan.
Enhanced services were conducted at the scene by patrol officer Arman Grigoryan and junior officer Rouzanna Yeghyan. Information about the accident was relayed from the Yerevan battalion of the patrol service to the traffic incidents investigation and administrative procedures department of the Yerevan patrol service, from which an investigative team arrived, headed by department chief Grigor Avetisyan and senior investigator Gegham Tsarukyan.
Materials are being prepared by Gegham Tsarukyan regarding this incident. According to G. Shamshyan, the injured individuals include the driver's wife and minor child.
