Brutal and Tragic Incident in Ararat Region: Body of 13-Year-Old Boy Discovered in Apartment

A brutal and tragic incident has occurred in the Ararat region. Around 5:30 PM, the Artashat police department received a call that a medical team had been dispatched to an apartment on Durian Street, where the body of a child had been found.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, the head of the Ararat regional police department, Saribek Rustamyan, the head of the Artashat police department, Arsen Voskanyan, and the head of the criminal investigation division, Karen Mayilyan, arrived promptly at the scene.

Police discovered the body of a 13-year-old boy in the bedroom of one of the apartments. Preliminary information suggests that the child was found hanging from a bunk bed in the bedroom.

Currently, forensic experts from the Ararat regional police department are working on the scene. A team from the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Ararat regional investigative department is also present, led by Head of the Investigative Division N. Muradyan and Senior Investigator A. Sultanyan.

Law enforcement is in the process of identifying the child. Investigative materials are being prepared regarding the incident. It remains to be determined whether this is a case of suicide or a tragic accident.
