Call for Biden to Take Cognitive Ability Test
Nearly 40 Republican congress members have demanded President Biden to take a cognitive abilities test following an incident where he insulted a reporter, according to RIA Novosti.
"We believe that regardless of gender, age, or political party affiliation, all presidents should follow the example of former President Trump by proving through documentation and demonstrating sound mental capabilities," the letter states.
The document was signed by former White House physician, Congressman Ronny Jackson, along with 37 other Republican legislators.
The authors of the letter expressed concern regarding an incident during a meeting with the presidential administration on January 24, where Biden referred to Fox News reporter Peter Doocy as a 'stupid son of a b*tch.' They noted that such an outburst of nervous irritation could be a sign of cognitive decline.
The letter emphasizes that this type of psychological issue, characterized as a 'mood disorder,' was exhibited by the country's leader during the event.
Last June, the former White House physician had already made a similar request to the president, but at that time, only 13 congress members had signed the letter.
