Biden's Take on World Leaders: A 'Nuclear Weapons Kid Without Friends'
American media has reported on U.S. President Joe Biden's sarcastic remarks allegedly directed at the leaders of Russia, France, the United Kingdom, and Germany. NBC News writes this, citing its sources.
According to the network, Biden described Russian President Vladimir Putin as a “nuclear weapons kid without friends.” He also reportedly stated that French President Emmanuel Macron wants to resemble Charles de Gaulle (the legendary leader of France in the 20th century), while Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Scholz, according to Biden, “is not Angela Merkel.” The President of the United States termed the behavior of British Prime Minister Boris Johnson as “stormy,” according to sources who heard these comments.
Simultaneously, a representative of the U.S. National Security Council, Emily Horn, denied this information. However, the network's source notes that during a recent meeting with several members of the national security team, Biden highlighted Scholz's current inability to unite the transatlantic alliance in response to Russia's actions surrounding Ukraine, as Merkel had previously done. During the same meeting, his remarks about Putin and Macron were also made.
