The Third World War could signify the end of today's civilization. This assessment was presented by Russian President Vladimir Putin in response to a journalist's question about the possibility of a third world war.

“I do not know what means the third world war will involve. But the fourth will be fought with stones and sticks. The understanding that the third world war could lead to the end of contemporary civilization should restrain extremely dangerous and reckless actions in the international arena concerning today's civilization,” he said.
