Zelensky Calls for Proof That Russia Will 'Attack' Ukraine on February 16

RIA Novosti reports that Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has called for evidence that Russia will 'attack' Ukraine on February 16.

Zelensky stated that there is already a significant amount of information circling around the alleged plans of Russia to escalate the situation regarding Ukraine. “I believe that today there is too much information in the information space regarding a large-scale war by the Russian Federation... We understand all the risks, and we acknowledge that these risks exist. Any additional information regarding a 100 percent invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation, please give it to us,” he said during a press conference on Saturday.

Zelensky emphasized and reminded of Kyiv's position: “The diplomatic path is the only way for de-escalation and de-occupation.”

He mentioned that Kyiv is considering information from the U.S. and allies. “We take all this information into account. We are grateful for all this information. But we need to analyze this information clearly... As of now, there is no large-scale war in Ukraine,” the president noted. He added that Ukrainian intelligence is functioning well and emphasized that Kyiv is prepared for any scenario.

The West accuses Russia of having alleged plans to escalate the situation around Ukraine. Moscow categorically denies this and continuously states that it does not threaten anyone, and that all such statements are used as a pretext to station more NATO military equipment near Russia's borders.
