Starting Monday, Ukraine's airspace will effectively be closed to aviation traffic due to the actions of Western insurance companies. This was reported by Лента.Ру:

“British insurance companies are imposing an air blockade. No aircraft will arrive or depart from Ukraine starting Monday,” announced a source in the insurance market.

As explained by the publication's interlocutor, the largest insurers from the United Kingdom, which cover other international companies, have today sent official notifications to all global aircraft owners that in 48 hours, insurance coverage for any aircraft in Ukraine will cease to be effective.
