Azerbaijan Opens New Military Base in Occupied Territories of Artsakh
On February 9, Azerbaijan opened a new military base in the territories of Artsakh that came under Baku's control as a result of the 44-day war, according to the country's Ministry of Defense. The event was attended by Azerbaijan's Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov. The exact location of the new military base has not been specified.
It is worth noting that on November 9, the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan reached an agreement regarding the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh, and a statement was signed transferring seven regions of Artsakh to Azerbaijan, along with the cities of Shushi and Hadrut, with the exception of one village and villages from the Askeran and Martuni regions, as well as the villages of Talish and Mataghis from the Martakert region.
