Shots Fired from Azerbaijani Position Towards Taghavard Residential Area; Artsakh Investigative Committee Initiates Case

The Artsakh Investigative Committee reports:

"The Territorial Investigation Department of the Martuni region of the Artsakh Investigative Committee has accepted cases for investigation regarding instances of gunfire directed towards the village of Taghavard from an Azerbaijani military position. This occurred on December 2, 2021, between approximately 5:00 PM and 5:30 PM, where unknown individuals fired from firearms in a manner that poses a public danger and with motives of ethnic hatred, deliberately causing significant property damage. In this incident, residential houses belonging to locals born in 1968 and 1979 were damaged. Criminal cases have been initiated under points 1 and 4 of the second part of Article 33-191 of the Artsakh Criminal Code. The pre-investigation proceedings are ongoing."
