Video: Car Crashes into Gas Pipeline in Yerevan, Explodes – Details
As previously reported, today, January 13, at 17:48, the National Crisis Management Center received a call about a traffic accident occurring at the beginning of Artashisyan Street in Yerevan.
Following a fire complexity special alert of "1 BIS," four firefighting teams from the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations' Yerevan Rescue Service were dispatched to the scene along with an operational group from the Firefighting and Rescue Operations Organization Division.
It was determined that the vehicle had collided with a gas pipeline adjacent to building 42/6 on Artashisyan Street, resulting in a gas leak and subsequent fire outbreak.
Reports indicate that an Opel car exploded. Preliminary information suggests that the driver was killed at the scene.
