124 Flights Canceled Due to Heavy Snowfall in Japan

At least 124 domestic flights have been canceled in Japan due to heavy snowfall, reports NHK. Additionally, train services have been halted for 427 trains because of snow accumulation on the tracks.

In several northern regions of Japan, up to 70 cm of snow has fallen in the past day, accompanied by strong winds reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h. Poor weather conditions are expected to persist until January 14.
