Vendetta in Goris: Gunshots Fired Due to Assault on Arush Arushanyan's Nephew
According to ArmLur.am, the person responsible for the gunshots in Goris is Arthur Chagharyan, a relative of Goris Mayor Arush Arushanyan. The shooting was an act of revenge linked to an incident that occurred months earlier, essentially an act of vendetta. The situation arose after Arush Arushanyan's nephew was assaulted in Goris, prompting his uncle Artak Chagharyan to seek retribution months later. Armed, he attempted to shoot the driver of a BMW car, mistakenly believing he was inside the vehicle; however, the driver was not present.
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, the criminal investigation division of the Goris police is searching for 36-year-old Arthur Chagharyan, who is suspected of damaging a car belonging to 30-year-old Vardan A. using his firearm. Photographer Gagik Shamshyan reported that Goris police received operational information about Chagharyan firing a machine gun at Vardan A.'s BMW car parked in the yard of 151/8 Mashtots Street in Goris. Fortunately, there were no injuries, but the vehicle sustained material damage.
