9 Children Killed in Explosion Near Pakistan Border
Nine children have been killed and four others wounded in an explosion near the Pakistan border in eastern Afghanistan. According to AP, the explosion occurred when a food-laden cart struck an unexploded ordnance in the Lalopar district of eastern Nangarhar province.
Afghanistan is among the countries with the highest number of unexploded mines and other munitions.
