Famous Businessman's Son Suspected of Assaulting a Citizen, Including Blows with a Weapon
The Arabkir Division of Police is preparing materials regarding an incident that occurred yesterday, December 13, in Yerevan. According to shamshyan.com, at around 23:35, a call was received at the Arabkir police department from the "Nairi" medical center, reporting that a citizen had been admitted with a diagnosis of "hematoma of the head region and contusions."
A police operational group from the Arabkir division, led by Chief Yervand Nikoyan, was dispatched to the hospital. While doctors were providing medical assistance to the injured party, police officers from Arabkir established that the victim was 47-year-old Samvel T., a resident of Yerevan, who sustained bodily injuries at 5 Kievyan Street.
Officers from the criminal investigation department of the Arabkir police, taking necessary operational-search measures, found that on the same day, residents of the Armavir province, 39-year-old Makar P. and 46-year-old Levon Kh., had a dispute with Samvel T. at the office of the "MAP" company located at 8 Komitas Avenue. According to the victim's statement, they closed him in and unlawfully deprived him of his freedom, striking him on various parts of his body with their hands, feet, and the handle of a weapon, causing bodily harm.
A medical examination has been ordered by a senior investigator concerning the incident. The Arabkir police are taking necessary measures to locate Makar P. and Levon Kh. According to reports, Makar P. is the son of well-known businessman Aleksan Petrosyan, also known as "Mapi Alik."
