MPs Mikitar Zakaryan and Arthur Sargsyan of the 'Armenia' Faction Released from Detention

Detention is such a thing that from the very first day, you look forward to being released. After leaving prison, Mikitar Zakaryan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction and former mayor of Megrin, stated during a conversation with journalists that he was recently released from custody.

"My health condition is normal; I underwent a surgery during this time. I would prefer not to discuss this matter," Zakaryan said.

When asked about the situation at the border, he emphasized that a strong state and a regular army must address border tensions. According to him, a realistic solution in this case would be for the army to strengthen, while the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff fulfill their responsibilities.

Responding to a question about whether his detention is related to the tense situation at the border, Zakaryan noted that despite detention being a heavy matter, when the country is in such a 'state of turmoil,' talking too much about detention is selfish. "A detention facility is not a resort, but I have also been in much harsher conditions," Zakaryan added.
