Are Armenian Flags Being Lowered in Artsakh? The Spokesperson of the Republic's President Comments
According to information received by Yerevan.today, Armenian flags (both of the Republic of Artsakh and the Republic of Armenia) have been lowered at the Armenian combat positions along the Armenia-Azerbaijan contact line in Artsakh. To verify this information, members of the team from the news outlet arcakh24.info explored the Armenian combat positions near the city of Shushi, confirming that Armenian flags are indeed absent from the specified combat areas.
According to some reports, following the meeting held in Sochi on November 26, the Azerbaijani side demanded that the flags be lowered, threatening to open fire on Armenian positions if their demand was not met.
Auroranews reached out to Luisa Avanesyan, the spokesperson for the President of Artsakh, who stated, "Come to Stepanakert and see for yourself the flags and everything else; I cannot comment on something that does not exist," asserting that she is not aware of such information.
We also attempted to contact the Artsakh Defense Army, but our calls went unanswered.
