Major Car Accident in Armavir Region: Head of Vardenis Police Hospitalized
A major car accident occurred in the Armavir region today. Around 21:00, on the 22 km stretch of the Yerevan-Aramavir highway, a Toyota Corolla traveling towards Yerevan collided with the rear end of a Volvo towing a manipulator.
According to Shamshyan.com, the driver of the Toyota, Samvel Khmelian, was helped out of the vehicle by the Volvo driver and passersby and was transported to the Vagharshapat Medical Center.
The police and investigative department are working to ascertain the identities of the drivers. Reports indicate that the driver of the Toyota is the head of the Vardenis Police. The Volvo driver had made a legal turn, and while attempting to clear the road to continue towards Yerevan, the Toyota crashed into the rear of his vehicle.
