Azerbaijani Forces Fire on Tractor During Agricultural Work in Khachik Village

Azerbaijani forces opened fire today on a tractor performing agricultural work in the Khachik village area of Vayots Dzor Province, Armenia. This was reported to NEWS.am by Khachik community leader Hovik Smbatyan.

“They fired on the tractor that was plowing the fields. The windows of the tractor were damaged, but thank God the driver was not injured and miraculously escaped as he was inside the tractor at the time,” said the community leader. Following the gunshots, the resident managed to drive the tractor back to safety.

According to Smbatyan, no further shots were fired from the Azerbaijani side. “There have not been similar incidents before. The residents have always carried out their agricultural work peacefully. We always mark the border with our plowing,” he emphasized.
