Major Car Accident in Vayots Dzor Province: Minibus Crashes into Iron Barriers and Ends Up in a Gorge, Injuries Reported

Today, on November 8, an accident occurred in Vayots Dzor Province. Around 19:45, a "Gazelle" brand minibus veered off the road on the 94 km section of the Yerevan-Yeraskh-Meghri highway, while heading towards Meghri. Under still unknown circumstances, the vehicle went off the traffic lane, collided with iron barriers, and rolled down a gorge for 70 meters.

According to Shamshyan.com, as a result of the accident, two people with bodily injuries were initially provided with first aid by doctors from the Yeghgnadzor Medical Center, who arrived promptly at the scene, before being transferred to the "Yeghgnadzor" medical facility.

One of the injured was rescued from the gorge by firefighters and brought to the ambulance.

Materials are being prepared regarding the incident. The police are investigating the identity of the driver and the injured parties.
