Strong Earthquake Near the Coasts of Greece and Turkey

On October 19, a 6.3 magnitude earthquake struck near the coast of Greece. This was reported by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre. The epicenter was located 308 kilometers east of the city of Heraklion on Crete, which has a population of approximately 137,000. The quake's depth was recorded at 60 kilometers.

The Turkish disaster management authority reported a 6 magnitude earthquake in the southern part of the country. According to the agency, the epicenter of this earthquake was located in the Mediterranean Sea at a depth of 36 kilometers, about 190 kilometers from the town of Kaş in Antalya province.

No information on casualties or damage has been reported, as noted by TASS.
